welcome dear worshipper
you stumble past the gleaming torii gates to find yourself in a pristine shrine surrounded by diverse flora. sunflowers, ferns, lily of the valley, white roses. you look up to a bright blue sky framed by cherry blossom trees, their petals drifting in the cool breeze. you go to pay your respects, but you can feel icy blue eyes on you.

lore
I wasn’t always this dark. This mischievous. Many looked to me when they needed help, and I gave in to those wishes with a smile. I tried my hardest to look at the best in things and to aid those who needed it.

The world is such a beautiful place…

But the people who live in it are not.

I wanted to help them like I helped nature thrive, but humans never change. They take pleasure in stepping on those beneath them if that means they can add meaning to their pitiful lives. Luckily, HE showed me the light. HE showed me that humans aren’t worth saving. Foolish mortals. They will be their own downfall, and I’ll be here tending to my garden through the seasons.
In the beginning, I was a beacon of light, a guiding force for those in need. People would turn to me when they faced difficulties, and I would willingly offer my assistance, my heart brimming with empathy and compassion. I believed in the inherent goodness of humanity, always striving to see the best in people and to nurture their potential.

The world, with its breathtaking landscapes and awe-inspiring wonders, held a special place in my heart. I revelled in the beauty of nature, marvelling at its intricate designs and the harmony it exuded. It was my purpose to protect and preserve this delicate balance, ensuring that the natural world thrived.

But as time passed, I began to witness the darker side of humanity. I observed how some individuals revelled in the suffering of others, finding pleasure in exploiting those who were weaker or less fortunate. It shattered my belief in the innate goodness of people. The more I saw, the more disillusioned I became.

I couldn't understand why humans would willingly trample upon the vulnerable, disregarding the consequences of their actions. It seemed that power, greed, and self-interest were the driving forces behind many of their decisions. I couldn't bear to witness the pain and suffering inflicted upon others, the callousness with which people treated their fellow beings.

Then HE came into my life, a figure who saw through the veil of humanity's pretence. HE revealed to me the truth—that humans were inherently flawed, driven by their own selfish desires. HE showed me that myefforts to help them were in vain, for they were beyond redemption. Their pitiful lives were governed by a hunger for dominance and control, blind to the consequences of their actions.

With this revelation, my perspective shifted. The darkness seeped into my heart, and mischievous thoughts took root within me. I realised that the humans were digging their own graves, and I no longer felt compelled to save them from themselves. They were unworthy of the love and care I had bestowed upon them.

As the world descended into chaos, I turned my attention to my garden, the realm where I still found solace and purpose. Seasons came and went, and I tended to the flora and fauna with a newfound detachment. While humanity's self-destruction unfolded, I nurtured the natural world, revelling in its resilience and beauty.

In the end, I found peace in accepting the truth. The world remained beautiful, despite the ugliness of its inhabitants. I chose to distance myself from the follies of humanity, knowing that their downfall was inevitable. I would continue to tend to my garden, finding solace in the cycles of nature and knowing that the fate of the humans was sealed by their own actions.

As I watched from my sanctuary, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction, even as a hint of sadness lingered within me. Foolish mortals they were, incapable of recognising the beauty they were destroying. While they hastened their own demise, I would remain the guardian of nature, preserving its splendour through the passing of time.
